Cool suburban streets where all the houses are the same She stands and waits in hand for his first day As he takes the first few steps she pulls the camera to her face The lens remembers all the smiling children waving On his first day As the seasons change, the leaves they wilt and then spring forth As the stars above our heads they spin and shine The sun will make it's rounds until it finally burns out But she thinks she's riding on the straight line At the age they call him man and it was time to flee the nest He places all his life inside of boxes Then she gives him one last squeeze and feels the heart inside his chest As the tears begin to trickle off her glasses And he's on his way As the seasons change, the leaves they wilt and then spring forth As the stars above our heads they spin and shine The sun will make it's rounds until it finally burns out But she thinks she's riding on the straight line A few cries in a hospital bring life into this world She's never understood that life's a spiral until she sees herself within his child she'll quickly realize She's just another cog in this life cycle And she's on her way As the seasons change, the leaves they wilt and then spring forth As the stars above our heads they spin and shine The sun will make it's rounds until it finally burns out But she thinks she's riding on the straight line

I Don't Need 02:08
Your smile was infectious Your laugh was a treat I loved all your charms and You really seemed sweet But there's so many things about you that I don't need We talked about lifestyeles The things that we need You held my hand closely and you pecked on my cheeck But there's so many things about you that I don't need It's a shame that it's over I'll hang my head in defeat I took a chance at saying hi then But now it's time to retreat You'd like to be friends now but that just can't be You're really a sweetheart And everybody can see But there's so many things about you that I don't need

Wall Street 02:55
Coffee stains on napkins The air is filled with grease She runs food to their table Forces a smile but she's dying to leave The slick black suit and tie Mind distorted and deranged Demands with a snapping finger And only leaves his tarnished change All she wants is to feed her family, not the greedy pigs on Wall Street Bald tires slouching restless Beneath a rusted metal machine She falls into the front seat then undoes her apron slowly She pulls into the driveway and lights a cigarette She stops the engines turning as her cheeks begin to wet All she wants is to feed her family, not the greedy pigs on Wall Street He's got the nerve to say go find a real job I bet those hands of his have never worked at all All she wants is to feed her family, not the greedy pigs on Wall Street They don't mind because they're well above their needs, all those empty suits on Wall Street

about

Here is a small collection of songs I recorded on an old laptop. Most of them were written while I was still in college, but never had a platform until now.
